Mindfulness Moment Session: Take a Moment to Embrace Mental Health Wellness

VBSC invites you to participate and drop-in for information, support, and resources to improve your overall health.
This psychoeducational class is sponsored by the VB Strong Center in collaboration with Diya Holistic Life Care.
Research has shown mindfulness is a reliable method for reducing stress, including at work. This session is a time to come into the present moment and find work-life harmony in the middle of the workday. Guided relaxation practice and reflection will be explored. In the name of mental health awareness, mindfulness practices can cultivate awareness and deeper understanding of self.
Mindfulness is a moment-by-moment awareness of our physical (body sensations), mental (thoughts), and emotional (feelings) experiences. It also involves non-judgment, meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without believing that there is a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel in a given moment.
